My name is Vietnam Nguyen and I have lived in District 7 for over 25 years. Growing up in the District, I am in tune with the community’s needs and wants. Working for the City of San Jose for over 12 years has given me the necessary experience to navigate the difficult City processes and bring about positive change from within. I believe it is time we all take pride and ownership in our neighborhoods and put it amongst ourselves to raise our quality of life. I am not a politician stepping into the community; I am one of us stepping into politics. Because I have no ties to any other politicians or any special interests groups, this will allow me to truly represent us on the City Council. I will take a preventative approach to our community by providing outlets for our residents to receive the care and help we all need throughout life. I aim to get everyone in the community, our youth, parents, adults, and elders involved in the decision making process so that everybody’s needs and desires can be met. It all starts with us.
